Printing for Architects, Builders, and the Trades

At some point in any process, a design needs to get from the drawing board to the real world. As much as municipalities have transitioned to paperless processing of plans, at the end of the day, a builder, a plumber, an electrician, and hordes of other construction people need a physical printout to go on-site and make it happen. That is where we can help. Even before that, clients and architects need to communicate over a hard copy and each step of the way we can facilitate the process.

In the beginning, there are sketches of ideas, concept presentations, tender presentations and so on. They all call for perfect to scale drawings backed up by documentation produced on our A4 / A3 laser and inkjet printers. Our team is great at preparing files or bound documents that could be the difference between landing a job or not.

Over the years our role with respect to plans has changed a lot. Whereas we used to mostly copy plans, and many were even hand-drawn, we slowly trended to mainly printing from files. More recently, we do a lot of scanning to disc for the municipality and for estate agents to send to their clients. In addition, with more digitally generated plans, we now produce many more in full colour.

A service many in the building industry enjoy using is where files or documents are emailed to us for printing, compiling, collating, laminating and made ready for collection once complete. Our regular users also make use of the various options we have available to make the accounting and tracking of costs easier.

The bottom line is, to quote a somewhat famous actor, “Saving you time, saving you money, putting you first”.

RevPrint is all about convenience for all on the building site and those involved in property be it in construction, sales or rentals.

Top tips:

• Always ask for your files in PDF format.
• Onsite drawings will last the duration of the project if you get them laminated.
• Most drawings don’t need to be printed in colour which can save on costs.
• Handling large format drawings and laminations may need a bit more of a lead time.

Adding Value to Printing

In all projects, the most critical component is time. All the stresses associated with events, projects and specifically the printing, arise from three key things – Costs, Timescales and Quality. Out of the three, time is the one thing we can plan for, but cannot really alter. If we fail to plan correctly, the first two casualties are costs and quality.
